Are YOU Wearing the Right Bra Size?

Real Talk!

Ladies! Let's get REAL now! How is it that we fit perfectly in a glass slipper, have dresses that hug our favorite curves -- but for the LIFE of us don't fit wonderfully in our most intimate of places!?!? Are YOU that person who suffers from the "four boob syndrome", marks on your back at the end of the day or even being swallowed in your cup. OH and how could I forget SIDE BOOB! We are NOT all a 34C anymore. It's a striking problem too -- 80% of women (so 4 out of 5) are walking around with the wrong size bra.

How is that you say? Well first of all, places like Victoria's Secret, just started carrying full cup bras up to 40DDD. FINALLY carrying DD+. I used to HATE going in there. They would swear they had my size. I have a 29 rib cage measurement, so how am I a 36 cup? I am always a straight 32 and when I am super fit a tad smaller! Mind me y'all, I am only 5 feet tall. Yes you CAN wear what is called a "sister size," because virtually a 36D is kinda like a 32DDD -- but it is still NOT the same! And to top it off, I know personally many of you paid BIG BUCKS for that ENHANCED look and size -- so show it off and treat them right. By the way, I was one of those 90% wrong girls.

Now how do you get out of that 90%?!?! Mind me these days bra sizes go up to L. Don't even ask me what L looks like. I have NO CLUE! Now where I would suggest is a specialty store that has always catered to busty women like me.. One that would surprise you might be Nordstrom. Oh and how I love THEE Nordstrom Lingerie Department. I saw an article years ago in a magazine and I decided to check them out. Sure enough, the sweetest woman with her measuring tape around her neck looked right at me and knew I was in the wrong size. She brought out some gorgeous bras, lined up like below! Right away I felt better.

I have the lace black bra on the right.. Chantelle is the brand!

What is really awesome is this 1:25 Nordstrom YouTube video that was just made this past month, it shows you what a proper bra is supposed to look like! Just click here to watch, "Nordstrom Lingerie: Does Your Bra Measure Up?"

Quick Tips Courtesy of Nordstrom..

  • The center section between the cups should lie flat on the chest.
  • Breasts should never bulge or spill out of the cups.
  • Your bra should not leave lines or marks on your skin after prolonged wear.

  • I can imagine you women are looking down right now to see! That's a good thing!

And to make things even harder, brands differ as well. My favorites are Le Mystere and Chantelle. Both European brands. When it comes to lingerie, Europe has it on point. Classy, high quality fabrics and pretty patterns. GONE are the DAYS when NURSING BRAS were the only bras BUSTY women could fit in. UGH.

Part of my collection! Le Mystere, Chantelle, Fredericks

    Fun Bra Facts

Dark bras may feel tighter than light ones – this is due to the dying process.

Ladies bra sizes fluctuate throughout their monthly menstrual cycle.

The first modern brassiere was invented by New York socialite Mary Phelps Jacobs when she was just 19 years of age.

You can do a degree in Bra Studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

80% of women own more than 5 bras.

    My Closing Remarks

A badly fitting bra can make or break an outfit says Martina Alexander from Wonderbra. She says: "The perfect fit and style of bra completes your look, so it is really important to consider this when choosing lingerie to suit your outfit. Be sure to harmonise the colour of your bra with the colors in your outfit. A good fit is vital."

Now go to Nordstrom or any specialty shop and get measured!! You'll thank me later!

    Asparagus & Salmon Spring Rolls

    SPRING ROLLS

24 thick or 36 thin asparagus spears (about 2 pounds)

2 3- to 4-ounce packages smoked wild salmon

    12 8-inch rice-paper wrappers

1 ripe avocado, cut into 24 slices

    1 cup shredded carrot

    1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

    1/2 cup chopped fresh mint

    DIPPING SAUCE

    1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

    2 tablespoons orange juice

    2 tablespoons lemon juice

    2 tablespoons mirin

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, or more to taste

    PREPARATION

    1. To prepare spring rolls: Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a large skillet. Trim asparagus spears to no longer than 6 inches; add to the boiling water. Partially cover and cook the asparagus until tender-crisp, about 3 minutes. Drain; refresh under cold water. Cut each spear in half lengthwise. Cut salmon slices into 12 strips no longer than 6 inches each.
    2. Soak one wrapper at a time in a shallow dish of very hot water until softened, about 30 seconds. Lift out, let excess water drip off and lay on a clean, dry cutting board.
    3. Center a strip of smoked salmon in the bottom third of the wrapper, leaving a 1-inch border on either side. Arrange 4 thick (or 6 thin) asparagus spear halves (overlapping as necessary) over the salmon. Top the asparagus with 2 avocado slices, 1 tablespoon shredded carrot and about 2 teaspoons each basil and mint. Fold the wrapper over the filling and roll into a tight cylinder, folding in the sides as you go. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling. Cut each finished roll in half.
    4. To prepare dipping sauce: Whisk soy sauce, orange juice, lemon juice, mirin and crushed red pepper in a small serving bowl. Serve the rolls with the sauce.

    2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce

    1 teaspoon ancho chile powder

    1/2 teaspoon onion powder, divided

    1 pork tenderloin (1-1 1/4 pounds), trimmed

    1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

    1 14-ounce can reduced-sodium chicken broth

    1/2 cup water

Return to the oven and roast until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 145°F, 3 to 5 minutes more. Transfer the pork to a clean cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
    5. Meanwhile, bring broth and water to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk in grits and pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in cheese. Cover to keep warm.
    6. Slice the pork. Serve the pork with the grits, sprinkled with scallions and drizzled with any remaining glaze from the skillet.

My Review of Chalene Johnson's Smart Success Seminar! Part 1

This past weekend I made the choice to leave Las Vegas and head to California for Chalene Johnson's Smart Success Seminar! She NEVER does seminars because she spends the majority of her time with her family now, so I knew this would be worth it and yup I was right!!

    Gorgeous and smart -- Chalene!

"Successful" Coaches on my Bombshell Team!

I mean who wouldn't WANT to attend the convention of this stylish hot momma.. You can't see here, but she was rockin' six inch stilletos on stage!

We were told to take tons of notes! Thank goodness I listened because the human brain doesn't seem to memorize the important stuff. Chalene lives her life surrounded by BUTTERFLIES. No, they don't actually fly around her home.. but she gets that FEELING everyday. The feeling of EXCITEMENT, LOVE and of course the feeling of SUCCESS!

And guess what? YOUR meaning of SUCCESS might be completely opposite then mine!

And I want to SHARE with you MY defintion of SUCCESS... Word for word on how I answered!

"My definition of success would be sticking to a routine that is more of a fixed schedule. I feel successful when others get excited to do what they are doing aka my coaches hitting THEIR milestones and goals. I feel success in strengthening current relationships, building new ones and making a difference in someone else's life. I LOVE what I am doing now and couldn't imagine life without Beachbody. One day when I meet my future HUSBAND, I want to not be cluttered with chaos and be able to make a new definition of SUCCESS with HIS plan of action as well..."

BUT, with "success" also can bring STRESS and NEGATIVITY! Chalene helped us sort out WHY this happens and even better a SOLUTION. This is what I want to SHARE WITH YOU! We feel as if we should be constantly "busy with noise"... That the more we do and the busier we are NOT ENJOYING life -- the more "successful" we will be. Does that sound FUN to you? Not being there for your kids events, not dancing the night away with friends? Nope. I definitely took notes and listened carefully to what Chalene was saying to us! Meaning, it's OK to ask for HELP! Also, make LISTS -- cross off things and concentrate! Get shit done!

When I came back I got more done on Monday then ever before! Things that I wanted to take care of to make my life easier. If I felt it would be too stressful -- outsource it baby! Your own time per hour is more valuable then you realize!

To be CONTINUED on how BEACHBODY COACHING/MENTORING is fulfilling my dreams (and others) and leading me to a "SUCCESSFUL" life...

    xoxo,

    Michelle Naomi

Cindy Adams -- Hot Mom P90x Transformation

This is the AMAZING JOURNEY of one of my coaches, Cindy Adams who is a mother of a beautiful little boy! She became a coach after seeing incredible results in which she credits Beachbody products! Read below on her story! Also feel free to contact Cindy directly by clicking here

    Cindy's Transformation: Why and How?

I never really worried much about my weight, I was always very tiny being 5 feet tall, and always less than 130 pounds. On February 8, 2008 I was beyond blessed with a happy, healthy 6 pound baby boy.. except I had reached over 200 pounds. Being 21 years old at the time, my thought was “whatever, it’s baby weight, it will go away.” It didn't. I hadn't even given a thought to losing the weight until the end of 2009, when my marriage ended. I was 22 at the time, and felt like I needed to start some kind of change to get my life back on track. Finding myself a single mother, living in an apartment I could barely afford, working part-time, I had no idea where in the world to start. My best friend, who is my husband now, was on this third round of P90x at this time, I had heard about it but never really looked into it. He had amazing results, but I was still apprehensive. I was exhausted, stressed, and really just totally unmotivated.

After weeks of convincing, I borrowed his DVDs, with the intention of getting him off my back, really. That didn't work, he was still asking me “How’s it going?”, “Any results?” I lied. Told him I was doing it, I wasn't. Finally, one night after I put my son to bed, I realized I needed to stop feeling sorry about myself. I needed to make a change if I was ever going to make it on my own. Day 1: I really thought I was going to die. 2 weeks later, I was down 12 pounds. So what did I do? I stopped.
And gained it back. Started over, did almost the whole 90 days this time around, and lost 50 pounds. I was so excited. Then my husband and I started dating, I put it off, we went out to eat almost every night. I was at 147, I was happy, and close enough to my goal weight that I was satisfied. Until I went back up to 160.

This time I ordered Hip Hop Abs, because I was burnt out on p90x and joined the gym, and got down to 140, 8 pounds away from my goal! Summer came, we went on a vacation to Jamaica, got married, went to the Dominican for our honeymoon, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and holy crap.. 25 pounds gained. In 5 months.

So, I returned to the gym.. December.. January.. February.. nothing, not one pound lost. I had forgotten about my Hip Hop Abs DVD until I was going back over how I got down to 140 the last time. I pulled it out and stared at it for about 20 minutes. I wanted to do it right this time, better actually. I looked around instagram at people’s transformations, even though I already knew it worked. I found Michelle on Instagram, and started following her. At first I was just watching and looking at all the posts about Shakeology, and the transformations. I was amazed at how she was helping people, and reaching out to them. This is something I wanted to do for so long, I myself had such a hard time reaching my goals, and I knew I wasn't alone. I wanted to help, If I could just reach one person and change their lives, my struggle would be worth it. I wanted to make it easier. I became a coach. I started doing a challenge, everything was so much easier. I started drinking shakeology, I felt a thousand times better. I’m working harder than I ever have to make myself better, and that is reflecting in all areas of my life.

I learned at the beginning of the week that I have PCOS, Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome, and that is why my weight has been so out of control the last few years. Instead of giving up, this is making me work harder for my goals. I may not be able to lose as easy as everyone else, but I am still losing, and getting healthier every day.

I want to show people they can reach their goals, regardless of what life throws at you. You can be successful, hard work equals results. I’ve heard that numerous times, but now I know it’s true. If you want it, work for it. I am ½ inch away from reaching my first goal. I gave up on the pounds, that is just a number, that doesn’t define me. Now I’m looking for the changes in my body, that’s more realistic to me, that’s what I had a problem with. Today, I am down 60 pounds from the day in 2010 that I started, I am happier, more positive than I have ever been, and certainly stronger. 3 years ago I would have told you, you were a liar if you told me I’d be where I am today, and I never would have gotten here without Beachbody. I would love to help you out as well! Just contact me here!

    APRIL 17th, 2013. Down 12 pounds in 44 days & 5 in on stomach!

    Fat Flush Water

You should drink at least three 8 oz glasses per day, they say the longer it sits, the better it tastes. You can eat them as well but they a...re intended as flavoring and still work, so that is a personal choice. The Vitamin C turns fat into fuel, the tangerine increases your sensitivity to insulin, and the cucumber makes you feel full. Try it for 10 days and see what you think!

    Ingredients per 8 oz serving

    Water
    1 slice grapefruit
    1 tangerine
    ½ cucumber, sliced
    2 peppermint leaves
Ice – as much as you like

    Directions
Wash grapefruit, tangerine cucumber and peppermint leaves. Slice cucumber, grapefruit and tangerine (or peel). Combine all ingredients (fruits, vegetables, 8 oz water, and ice) into a large pitcher.
